Residential Childcare Practitioner

We are recruiting permanent staff for one of our clients in Glasgow within a purpose built facility to allow the best support possible to children with additional support needs. If you are experienced childrens support worker looking for a change then this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Our client caters for children from birth through to early adulthood in their services across Scotland and some of the amazing facilities you can expect to enjoy with the children include a giant ball pool, large garden, sensory rooms and hydrotherapy pool.

You will be responsible for:

-Working effectively as part of a team of child support workers

- Providing care to a vulnerable young people

-Promoting a positive parenting role model

-Ensuring professional boundaries are in place

-Maintaining professional manner and working to National Care Standards

To be successful in your application, you will:

-Have previous experience working in a residential setting with young people

-Have strong communication skills

-Register under the PVG scheme

-Full driving licence

-Obtained, or working towards SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent desirable
