Reservations & Revenue Manager

Are you passionate about hospitality, revenue optimisation, and training and leading a small reservations team? We’re seeking a dynamic Reservations & Revenue Manager to join our 5 star hotel with the ambition to increase our service, occupancy and sales levels at our 5* property.

Primary Objective of Position

As the Reservations & Revenue Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in maximising revenue and occupancy levels. Under the guidance of the Hotel Manager and Sales & Revenue Consultant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Pricing Strategy: Craft effective pricing strategies to yield business results based on market conditions.
  • Competitor Monitoring: Stay informed about competitors’ pricing and market activity to ensure optimal sales performance.
  • Budget Achievement: Lead the department to exceed budgeted accommodation revenue during the booking process.
  • Room Revenue Optimization: Drive room revenue and room rates while adapting to booking trends.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales & Revenue Consultant, Marketing team, and Reservations Team to enhance direct bookings and maximize rates.
  • Financial Targets: Ensure the Reservations Team understands and aligns with the hotel’s financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Insights: Regularly review reports and discuss findings in Revenue meetings.
  • Travel Agent Relations: Manage relationships with travel agents, prioritizing our direct website
  • Strategic Selling: Understand key events and holiday periods affecting demand, adjusting our selling strategy accordingly.
  • Daily Pick-Up Reports: Analyse daily pick-up reports, provide commentary, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the Marketing team to create strategic commercial packages and promotions.
  • Rooms Strategy: Collaborate with the Sales & Revenue Consultant to execute the hotel’s rooms strategy.

Qualifications

  • Experience in central reservation systems and hotel operations at a luxury property.
  • Proficient in configuration and usage of Opera Cloud.
  • Strong communication skills and commercial awareness.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and forecasting.
  • Passion for achieving revenue targets and delivering exceptional service.
