Reputation & Information Law Associate
This leading law firm are seeking a highly skilled Associate with 5+ years of reputation & information law experience to join the practice group in their London office.

The Role
- This is a senior role in our market leading reputation & information protection team, which forms part of the wider commercial disputes
- They use the laws of defamation, privacy, confidentiality and data protection to protect the reputation, privacy and information of our clients.
- The work therefore covers the full range of information law - not just defamation, privacy and confidentiality, but also data breaches, contentious DSARs, incoming claims from data subjects and FOIA requests.
The successful candidate will be a Litigator with at least 5 PQE and demonstrable experience of and expertise in advising businesses and individuals facing threats to their reputation or information from the media/online content.
This can also include regulatory investigations, pressure groups, competitor activity, aggrieved employees, unhappy customers, etc., as well as of contentious data protection work.
The candidate will want to play a central role in business development and driving the practice forward to increase income and profitable growth.
The successful candidate will have:
- 5PQE + experience
- Excellent academic achievement with a minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent
- Clear understanding of the operation and structure of a Top 25 law firm
- Strong commercial awareness
- Excellent organisational skills
