Reporting & Analysis Accountant

Meraki Talent are engaged to appoint a permanent Reporting & Analysis Accountant based in West Lothian paying £45,000 - £48,000 plus an excellent benefits package including bonus.

The Role

The Reporting & Analysis Accountant is a newly created role to aide decision making, direction and strategy. The position will be removed from the month-end process and the analysis & business partnering provided will be to support operation and commercial activities. The key components of the role will include:

• Reporting to and deputising for the Financial Controller with a dotted line to the Commercial Director
• Business partnering with senior stakeholders & departments outside finance
• Production and presentation of monthly reporting packs
• Commercial and operational analysis - costs, margins, KPI’s etc.
• Budget, forecasting and cashflow analysis
• Utilising systems and data sources to produce reports required for the Business
• Reviewing and developing processes, procedures, controls & systems

The Financial Controller is individual that is extremely passionate about developing aspiring finance professionals, and not only acting as a line manager but a true mentor figure. Once confidence and trust are gained with the new encumberment they will both provide a fantastic amount of freedom, visibility and autonomy for the new Reporting & Analysis Accountant express themselves & put their own stamp on the finance function.

Candidate Profile

• Part qualified or qualified by experience
• Ability to build relationships with non-financial stakeholders
• Strong analytical and financial analysis capabilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
