Reporting Accountant

This is the opportunity to join an excellent accountancy firm based in Scotland. The firm have over 50 years experience and offer a range of services lines including accounts, tax, payroll and audit. The firm boast an excellent reputation in the market in regard to employee and staff wellbeing and are now keen to onboard a Reporting Accountant to join their growing team.

Your new role

The key responsibilities of your new role will include:

• Preparation and review of monthly management accounts (including meaningful commentary) for a small portfolio of clients
• Fill the role of "part-time" accountant within these client's businesses
• VAT compliance
• Oversee and review the processing of invoices, payments, receipts, etc.
• Updating of monthly forecasts and cashflows
• Working within set budgets and time scales
• Coaching and mentoring our junior staff

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in practice in a similar role and hold a professional qualification be that ACCA or ICAS. The candidate will have a strong core understanding of accounting and VAT compliance and be highly competent on all Microsoft packages, particularly word and excel.
