Repair Specialist - Temporary Position (6 Months)

Location: Congleton

Hourly Rate: £14.70

Driving Required: No

Working Pattern: Full-Time

Are you currently looking for a new opportunity? Do you have experience in PCB Repair? If so, we have an exciting role for you! Our client, a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing company, is seeking a skilled Repair Specialist to join their team. As a Repair Technician, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and repairing electronic PCB and Module defects. Your expertise will contribute to driving productivity improvements and ensuring outstanding products for our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair electronic PCB and Module defects in accordance with internal procedures and IPC A610 standards
  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to investigate root causes and implement preventive measures
  • Follow a rotating shift pattern, ensuring timely production and customer delivery
  • Provide technical support to fellow peers and manufacturing personnel
  • Utilise your knowledge of Soldering, De-soldering equipment, and BGA rework equipment
  • Apply your understanding of SMT processes, PCB ICT, and FCT principles and practises
  • Demonstrate experience in diagnosis and fault finding on electronic assemblies, down to component level


Requirements:

  • Minimum BTEC Level 3 in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a similar discipline
  • Strong working knowledge of soldering and electronic repair equipment
  • Familiarity with SMT processes, PCB ICT, and FCT principles
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and fault finding on electronic assemblies
  • Experience with PCB software or FCT Boundary Scan theory is advantageous
  • Ability to prioritise workload to meet factory requirements and ensure on-time customer delivery
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends based on business demand
  • Competency in using PC software and Microsoft packages, including Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word
