Religious Studies (RE) Teacher required in Stockport

Immediate Start, Full time & Ongoing for the right RE Teacher

£140 - £180 per day (Experience dependent)

A popular secondary school in Stockport is seeking a reliable and organised Religious Studies (RE) Teacher to start immediately, full time. The school timings for this post are Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3pm. The school values inclusivity, academic excellence, and fostering a supportive learning environment where both students and staff can thrive. You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Religious Studies (RE) lessons to inspire and challenge students.
  • Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that caters to diverse student needs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the Religious Studies (RE) curriculum and school programs.
  • Effectively manage challenging behavior in the classroom and create a positive learning atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong knowledge and passion for Religious Studies (RE), with the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
  • Experience working with challenging behavior within a secondary school setting is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, parents, and colleagues.
  • NQTs are encouraged to apply, and support will be provided for professional development.
