We are currently seeking experienced Reinsurance professionals to join our Client's expanding Division as part of a successful team of Reinsurance Technicians. Accordingly the salaries and benefits offered are excellent to reflect your experience.

We have a number of opportunities across Pro Rata and/or Excess of Loss specialisms, all on a permanent basis.

As a Reinsurance Technician you will be responsible for complex portfolios; including reinsurance coverage assessment, processing of premiums and/or loss transactions and associated cash follow up, application and disbursement of funds due.

You will be able to work on a hybrid basis between home and the office, with 3 of these days working from home.

As a Reinsurance Technician your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage your client portfolio, taking full responsibility of technical duties relating to client accounts, premiums and claims. Covering excess of loss and pro rata business or alternatively binder and facultative risks types.
  • Assess and submit client and/or reinsurer presentation materials and communications
  • Provide support and mentoring to less experienced colleagues
  • Work with credit control to assist with collection of funds
  • Manage all brokerage receivables, funding, retention, e-trading, post booking receipt, payment of funds and all management and transactional process steps
  • Understand issues, resolve problems and queries

To be a successful Reinsurance Technician you will demonstrate:

  • Experience of working within a Reinsurance technical role
  • Successful management of workload with an ability to manage expectations of all clients and stakeholders
  • Ability to engage and negotiate with clients, market contacts and colleagues in a professional manner
