MERJE are partnered with a dynamic, forward thinking FinTech in their search for a talented Regulatory Reporting Manager 

Your new role:

The regulatory reporting manager is responsible for the production of regulatory reports & data submitted to the regulators, managing the regulatory reporting and treasury management systems, as well as assisting in meeting the bank's capital, liquidity, funding and IRRBB strategies.

The Regulatory Reporting Manager supports senior management to make informed decisions and facilitate early identification of issues that can by assessing the impact on regulatory limits.

You will bring to the role a wide experience of dealing in financial instruments that aligns with a detailed knowledge and understanding of the regulatory environment in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and prepare a full suite of regulatory returns in line with the requirement of the firm's regulators including COREP, FINREP and Bank of England returns, keeping pace with and maintaining knowledge of the fast changing regulatory requirements within the sector.
  • Advise on regulatory related matters in relation to the development of new products, including new data requirements, leading system implementations, liquidity & capital requirements and ensuring the correct reporting both internally and externally
  • Own the management & maintenance of the bank's ALM system (ALMIS) producing reports required to the regulator, generating formattable outputs and performing interest rate risk & liquidity stress assessments as required
  • Own the management & maintenance of the bank's Treasury system ensuring accuracy of trades, reconciliations and accounting entries
  • Assist with day to day management of the treasury function, including liquidity risk, HQLA portfolio and IRRBB, ensuring compliance against the internal and regulatory risk appetite.
  • Ensure a robust control environment around the preparation of reports with clear documentation and governance, acting as the key point of contact with auditors for regulatory reporting (both internal and external)
  • Contribute to the development of the business' core banking systems to automate and control data flows to deliver accurate reporting
  • Contribute to Pillar III, ICAAP, ILAAP & RRP as required

Our Ideal Candidate will have:

  • A good understanding of current and ongoing regulatory requirements ensuring these are reflected across all reporting both internally and externally
  • Proven ability to work with large amounts of data and analyse, interpret, condense and output to conform to the formats applicable
  • Strong excel skills
  • Self-sufficient and a 'can do' attitude able to meet deadlines under times of stress and change
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Knowledge and experience of working within financial services, particularly retail banking
  • Proven experience in a regulatory reporting role producing returns previously outlined
  • Understanding of balance sheet management, including the underlying risks that can affect a bank's capital & liquidity requirements including participation in liquidity and capital planning such as ICAAP, ILAAP & RRP as required
