Job Title: Regulatory Affairs Manager (Food & Beverages)

Job Type: Permanent position

Location: Chiswick, Cambridge, or Manchester – 2 days on-site per week. 

Remuneration: £50,000 - £55,000 + benefits

The business has continued this worldwide trend of producing high-quality food products by recently adding a UK number-one products leader to its portfolio as part of its growth plan, cementing its position as chutneys, relishes, pickled vegetables, and vinegar category experts in Europe.

The business is currently looking for a Regulatory Affairs Manager to join the business and take the lead on all Regulatory Affairs activities. The role will support a number of UK, European, and global projects supporting end-to-end regulatory processes including labelling, new registrations, new MAA, and regulatory policies and intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

·       Lead regulatory activities for all company products, ensuring compliance of finished product composition, labelling and communication.

·       Gather regulatory intelligence, monitor food law changes and perform impact assessment on company products.

·       Review and approve promotion and advertising information to ensure they are compliant with CAP/ BCAP code along with local regulations.

·       Liaise with external regulatory bodies, establish and maintain good relationships with enforcement authorities.

·       Provide technical and regulatory advice for the Innovation and Marketing departments in support of the growth funnel business plans.

·       Develop regulatory brief/regulatory strategy/risk assessments to support growth funnel business plans.

·       Lead the regulatory training programme for Marketing, IPD building and promoting internal understanding of regulatory frameworks

Requirements

·       University degree in Law, Biomedical science, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

·       At least 5 years + of experience working in regulatory affairs within, foods, consumer health, nutrition, or something highly regulated.

·       Previous experience working within a regulatory role dedicated to the food and beverage industry.

·       A strong communicator who is confident in driving strategies and working with senior internal and external stakeholders.

·       Experience working/ interacting with the food standards agencies or other relevant authorities.

This role will require someone who can multi-task a number of projects at one time with minimal help from colleagues. The business is looking for someone with excellent communication, detail drive, a hard-worker and a motivated individual.

The role will require only 2 days on-site per week however the business is able to be flexible for the right person. Please note role does not offer job sponsorship and the right candidate will need to hold the full right to work in the UK.

This role comes with a 10% Bonus and other standard benefits.
