Registered Nurse - Cath Lab

Salary: £35/h

What you'll need as a Registered Nurse - Cath Lab:

  • NMC registration and educated to degree level
  • Cath Lab Nursing Experience
  • 6 months of paid patient facing UK nursing experience from within the past 3 years
  • Up-to-date clinical best practice knowledge
  • The right to work in the UK

Role Overview:

  • Provide specialist clinical knowledge and practise skills in a broad range of cardiac, radiology and vascular procedures and assist in the role of scrub, circulatory and recovery nurse
  • The role will be full-time core hours 8 am to 6 pm, with the possibility of later cases

The expectation for this role will be experience in the role of scrub, circulatory and recovery nurse for the below procedures:

  • Left and right heart catheterisation including simultaneous intracardiac pressure measurements

  • Atrial septal defects, left atrial appendage and patent foramen ovale closures
  • Blood oximetry analysis for calculation of intracardiac shunts, atrial septal defect and ventricular septal defects
  • Transcatheter aortic valve implantation
  • Pulmonary vascular resistance measurements
  • Mitral valvuloplasty procedures
  • Coronary angioplasty procedures including primary percutaneous coronary intervention
  • Pressure wire analysis and calculation of coronary fractional flow reserve.
  • Intra coronary ultrasound.
  • Intra-aortic balloon pump therapy
  • Temporary pacemaker insertion.
  • Implant of all types CRM Devices including ILR, PPM, ICD and CRT-P/D as well as extraction of the same and respective leads
