We are currently searching for a qualified Registered Manager to join Beacon Childcare on a permanent basis. Beacon Childcare specialises in providing care and support to children and young people of all ages to ensure the health, well-being, and safety of all their service users. The organisation strives to create a safe and fun environment for not only the service users, but for their staff and everyone involved. Therefore, it is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and skilful individual to lead an ambitious team and oversee the day-to-day running of the children's home.
What you'll need to succeed (the below are essentials):

  • Obtained your Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience within the last 5 years in a residential setting, working with children and young people.
  • Experience in a managing or supervision role.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of the appropriate policies, procedures, and regulations in-line with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards for Children's Homes.
  • Understand the main responsibilities of a Registered Manager and have experience completing some of the key duties.

Additional essentials:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Satisfactory DBS check
  • Satisfactory references

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality care services to support all children and young people living in the home.
  • Ensure all service users have individual care plans which have been carefully developed in order to meet their needs and to ensure person-centred care.
  • Ensure the safeguarding, individual rights, and equality amongst the service users.
  • Manage, supervise, and assist staff members in the professional development of the home regarding policies and procedures being followed, completed training, and risk assessments being up-to-date.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations by all staff members.
  • Monitor performance and promote the personal development of staff members through regular appraisal meetings.
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals and build relationships with the parents/ carers and other family members of the service users.
  • Manage any ongoing finances and budgets.
