Halcyon Care (West Midlands) Ltd is proud to partner with a respected family-run Children's Residential services provider, dedicated to providing high-quality care and support services to individuals in need. Our mission is to ensure that every person in our care receives the support they need to live a fulfilling and independent life. As we continue to grow and expand, we are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to join our team and improve our services at our 3-bedded EBD home in Halesowen. The home currently has 2 settled placements, which will only increase once the RM is settled in place.
Our home is exactly that - a home for our young people. As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the welcoming and nurturing nature of our service, enabling our young people to thrive.
The house itself is finished to a fantastic standard, providing a spacious and well-maintained environment with 5 bedrooms in total. We also have extra rooms available for staff use.
Location: Halesowen, Birmingham
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: starting at £50,000 per annum
Job Duties:
- Oversee all aspects of the home for children.
- Develop and implement care plans in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and support staff to ensure high-quality care is provided.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Manage financial budgets and resources effectively.
- Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to provide the best care possible.
Required Qualifications:
- Registered Manager with relevant qualifications.
- Experience working with children in an EBD setting.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Education:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services or working towards.
Experience:
- Ideally 3 years' experience in a managerial role within a children's EBD setting.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of child development and welfare.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional training in safeguarding and child protection.
- Experience with Ofsted inspections.
Working Conditions:
- May require evening and weekend work.
- Potential exposure to challenging behaviour and emotional situations.
