We’re looking for an experienced Registered Manager or Deputy Manager of Children’s Homes to join an established organisation as they open their next Registered Children’s home in South East London. Having undergone extensive refurbishment to ensure that it is a welcoming and homely environment, the home is almost ready to go and they now require e a Registered Manager who will register with Ofsted and then start to manage new referrals into the home, working closely with the Local Authority, Social Workers and Young People to ensure a smooth transition.

On offer is a salary of £55,000 - £65,000 and the opportunity to set up and manage a brand new service, recruiting all staff and setting the bar of how care and support should be delivered under your leadership.

As a Registered Manager you’ll be responsible for;

  • Assessment and evaluation of new referrals and manging a smooth transition into the home
  • Ensuring that Ofsted standards are being met
  • Management of the home’s budget and expenditure
  • Develop quality assurance systems
  • Deliver effective leadership to the staff team, that promotes a positive culture of open practise
  • Ensuring the staff rota is effective

What we’re looking for;

  • It is essential that you have experience of working within a children’s home as either a Deputy Manager or a Registered Manager
  • Experience of working with children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties
  • You’ll demonstrate a sound understanding of Ofsted requirements
  • At least 2 years management experience in a relevant children’s setting within the last 5 years.
  • QCF level 5 or equivalent in Leadership and Management for Social care (Children and Young People)
