A reputable organisation based in West Sussex is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive new business development, enhance sales with customers and distributors, and maintain key accounts. The role involves promoting UK products, collaborating with the corporate sales team, and contributing to internal relations to achieve objectives while fostering excellent customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for customer sales accounts and representative activities in the sales region, generating new business from both existing and potential customers.
  • Arrange customer visits to discuss the development of new and existing requirements, providing valuable insights and technical support.
  • Support the internal sales team and customers by offering application and technical product information.
  • Conduct detailed marketing analysis for products and prepare reports for presentation to management.
  • Generate sales inquiries, identify requirements, and prepare detailed quotations and proposals.
  • Promote sales of standard and custom products manufactured in all facilities.
  • Prepare costings for new and existing products, ensuring profitability in quotations and contract review for core and OEM product sales orders.
  • Continuously develop knowledge of products and applications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on the sales contact database.
  • Understand and adhere to ISO9001 (Quality), ISO14001 (Environmental), and ISO45001 (Health & Safety) standards, committing to achieving Company Business, Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety objectives.
  • Review Business, Quality, and Environmental systems regularly to ensure compliance and continual improvement.

Education, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Proven successful track record in technical custom sales to OEMs.
  • Foreign language skills would be beneficial but not obligatory.
  • Engineering degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent higher technical education.
  • Ability to travel without restriction.
  • Proficiency in marketing analysis, research, MS Office, and sales contact databases.
  • Applications knowledge within Medical and Industrial X-Ray, Analytical instrumentation, and Industrial High Voltage Applications would be a distinct advantage.

Location: West Sussex / Remote

Salary £55/60k plus commission
