The Regional Human Resources Business Partner is part of the Operational Human Resources Team., reporting into the Head of HR Operations.

This role will have the responsibility of managing the delivery of a regional service on all complex HR issues. where they will partner with the hospital directors and regional leads, to drive and deliver HR solutions to maximise performance, strategy, workforce planning, as well as develop, support and promote an HR community in practice.

You must have a full and clean UK driving license, with access to a vehicle as you will be based from home but required to visit and work from our services in the Midlands & South Midlands (Northants) Region and stay away from home at times.

The post holder will have extensive knowledge and skills across various HR areas. They will establish, build and maintain relationships to drive business results and increase colleague engagement which will be achieved by partnering with business leaders and colleagues across the organisation to support the organisational people strategy & plan.

You will also develop and implement strategic and operational plans based on insight, data and an understanding of what is possible from any internal and external factors impacting all stages of the employee life cycle.

As a Regional HR Business partner it is important to have relationship management skills, be commercially astute and understand the business and its challenges.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Face of HR team to Elysium Hospital/Regional Directors (HD/RD) aligned to the services supported by HRBP representing all areas of the people agenda.
  • Be an active part of regional support team, working with Chief Financial Manager (CFM) to review performance of the region and at site level and support HD/RD in driving performance.
  • Monthly cadence of meetings with CFM and other regional contacts to review data and drive actions to influence and support the HD/RD.
  • Co-lead on driving talent agenda across the region/allocated sites, leading on (Quarterly) talent cycle to identify talent and ensure RD has an active development plan in place.
  • Monthly review of vacancy numbers, headcount and recruitment challenges to support workforce planning.
  • Influence RD to ensure robust succession plans are in place for all HD’s and key roles.
  • Work with HD/RD and Head of L&D to ensure L&D budget is spent on activities that drive biggest benefit across the region and development paths are in place to leverage apprenticeship levy.
  • Work with HD/RD to understand retention challenges within the region and ensure plans are in place, aligned to the People Plan, to reduce staff turnover – particular focus on hot spots within the services/region.
  • Support HD/RD in local action planning and continual ‘you said, we did’ comms, following the Global Staff Survey, to drive forward improvements and share successes.
  • Ensure regional management team are leading on local induction plans to ensure a great experience for new joiners.

Key Skills, Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Ideally CIPD qualified to level 5 or above or holding an equivalent qualification with a business management or HRM focus.
  • Experience of operating as a generalist HR Business Partner across multiple sites within a region.
  • Proven knowledge in all aspects of HR including learning and development, resourcing, employee relations, remuneration and benefits.
  • Ideally you will have experience of working in a medium-large sized organisation and experience of working within the Healthcare Industry or similar.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and up to date knowledge of good practice and emerging trends in the field of HR.
  • Experience of supporting the implementation of change initiatives, ideally within a rapidly growing or evolving business setting.
  • Numerically competent with proven experience producing quality management information with trend analysis aimed at stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Strong working knowledge of HR systems, computer skills including MS Office, Email and Internet
  • Strong time management and priorities management skill.
