Regional Account Manager (South) - Membership & Exhibition Sales - Manufacturing Tech - Field Based - £35k + commission + benefits + car allowance

A professional membership organisation is looking for a Regional Account Manager (South) to join their team. This is a new role as membership and interest is growing, needing to split the UK into north and south regions. This role will entail being an 'on the road’ salesperson across the South region visiting Members daily to meet the Member’s needs. You will be expected to manage all areas of the Members Account within your region and provide cover when needed for the Member Engagement Manager. You will also be responsible for Exhibition Sales across your region for the industry annual exhibition, as well as promoting Membership, working closely with the Business Development team.

SALARY ETC:

  • £35k + commission + benefits + car allowance
  • Southern UK travel required, working on a hybrid / field basis (you will manage your own timetable, ensuring all members are visited at least once a year).
  • You will need to spend one or two days a month in the office, which is in central west London.
  • Travel and overnight expenses are all covered.
  • Permanent, full-time.
  • Monday to Friday.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have full rights to work in the UK
  • A full clean driving license and access to a car.
  • Experience / knowledge and confidence in talking to people in the manufacturing industry would be beneficial.
  • Experience in a Customer/ Member facing role would be essential, with an outgoing and approachable personality.
  • Proven background as a net-worker with the ability to operate at all levels in member companies.
  • Experience in a similar role with the ability to promote benefits, events and professional membership benefits and events.
  • Experience in successful implementation of services is desirable.
  • The ideal candidate will need outstanding communication skills and be IT literate.
  • Experience in using CRM / Salesforce or similar.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

  • Maximise members value from membership, and to regularly visit members.
  • Promote Membership services to member companies.
  • Assist with chasing members who have unpaid membership fees or exhibition bookings.
  • Encourage members to use services they aren’t using which you feel would be beneficial to them.
  • Feedback member comments to the CEO
  • Update the CRM system with information gathered,
  • Produce field reports.
  • Helping with marketing including open house, exhibition, news etc
  • To gain a thorough understanding of all the product areas
  • To drive new membership sales within the sector with the full support of all departments.
  • Visit Members as required (South Region)
  • Liaise with the Head of Operations on Exhibition Sales
  • Gain a thorough understanding of all Exhibition needs in order to sell the Exhibition space.
  • Sell exhibition stand space to new exhibitors via a variety of media, including trade press, Telesales, and email.
  • Develop and maintain a database of exhibitors and potential exhibitors, including researching and identifying new potential members/exhibitors.
  • Visit competitor exhibitions.
