Job role: Refrigeration Engineer

Salary: Up to £65,000 + company van

Metalis is working with a leading manufacturing company who due to growth, are looking to hire a Refrigeration Engineer.

As a Refrigeration Engineer you will be supporting sites with refrigeration needs, providing a professional service to the site customers, Facilities Manager and Account Manager and where applicable working in conjunction with the site Engineering Teams. You will provide planned and reactive maintenance tasks to upkeep site refrigeration equipment to current legislation and standards.

Job Duties:

  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance across all types of refrigeration equipment ranging from Chlorofluorocarbons, Hydrofluorocarbons, Ammonia, and CO2.
  • Carry out installations varying from small cellar-style systems to large multi-compressor pack systems.
  • Carry out repairs on all aspects of the equipment, showing good technical knowledge and displaying safe and effective fault diagnosis and repairs.
  • Assist with plant and equipment improvements which contribute toward site improvements; health and safety and/or technical corrective actions.
Requirements:
  • Proven time and experience as a Refrigeration engineer working in commercial and industrial sectors.
  • Experience in food manufacturing.
