Recruitment Consultant - Accountancy & Finance Desk

Location: Billericay, Essex

Hours: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm (4pm finish on Fridays)

Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 plus commission (OTE £50,000 uncapped)

We have just moved to bigger office space in Billericay High Street and we are looking to add a Recruitment Consultant or Senior Consultant to our team managing a permanent desk in our Accountancy & Finance Division.

You will need to be ultra self-motivated, with the desire to pick up the phone and make things happen.

This role will offer a competitive basic salary and bonus structure which will be based on contribution and performance.

The role

This role will be managing a Permanent Recruitment desk within one of our commercial sectors, supporting businesses in Essex and the surrounding areas.

You will enjoy the challenge of meeting clients face to face to grow relationships with existing, lapsed and prospect clients. This is a 360-recruitment role. The role will be fast-paced and highly rewarding for someone who wants to establish themselves in the recruitment sector.

Team

You will be part of a supportive, established and award-winning team, where you are free to control and manage your own desk, with the support, training and development from the Management Team and colleagues.

We boast an excellent reputation in the local area and pride ourselves on providing a quality Client and Candidate service experience.

What you will be doing

  • Developing long term professional business relationships with both clients and candidates.
  • Providing a specialist consultative service by developing a thorough understanding of your Town/City.
  • Sourcing and successfully placing permanent candidates into roles.
  • Delivering a high level of customer service to all clients, candidates, and colleagues.
  • Using sales, business development, marketing techniques and networking to attract business from companies.
  • Visiting companies to build and develop working relationships.
  • Develop a good understanding of companies, their industry, what they do and their work culture and environment.
  • Advertising vacancies by drafting and placing adverts in a wide range of media, for example websites and magazines.
  • Headhunting - identifying and approaching suitable candidates who may already be in work.
  • Receiving and reviewing applications, managing interviews and creating a shortlist of candidates for the client.
  • Meeting, interviewing and briefing the candidate about the responsibilities, salary and benefits of the job in question.
  • Preparing CVs and correspondence to forward to clients in respect of suitable applicants.
  • Offering advice to both clients and candidates on pay rates, training, and career progression.
