Our client, one of the UK’s leading independent providers of bespoke lending solutions to businesses requires a Recoveries Manager to join their expanding risk team.

The Recoveries Manager is responsible for proactively managing a portfolio of collection and recoveries accounts. determining and implementing strategies to maximise returns effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage a portfolio of recovery and collection clients.
  • Liaise with professional advisers such as Solicitors, Insolvency Practitioners and /or Receivers, where appropriate.
  • Manage and maintain client files on the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Represent the business whilst maintaining our reputation.
  • Identify and monitor potential provisions.
  • Provide feedback to the business on common themes, development opportunities and insight gained.
  • Support the wider Risk team with ad-hoc tasks as required.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience of property collections.
  • Awareness of commercial and reputational challenges
  • A thorough understanding of insolvency, litigation and collections processes and their practical application.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office - Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Key Requirements

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in having difficult conversations.
  • The ability to demonstrate an understanding of the regulatory framework relevant to the role.
  • Commercially focused to effectively manage risk and collections while protecting against credit losses.
  • Excellent attention to detail, including the administration and handling of client data.
  • Time management skills - prioritise work effectively and be able to work under pressure to meet agreed service levels, whilst maintaining high accuracy.

You will be required to travel for client visits, attend corporate events and other regional offices - these may include an overnight stay.
