Are you an experienced Primary teacher looking for a new and rewarding opportunity from September 2024? Horizon Teachers are working with a Primary school based in Lambeth, seeking a Reception Teacher who is looking for a new challenge to invigorate the Early Years curriculum across Nursery and Reception.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in like with EYFS framework, focusing on key areas of learning and development.
  • Working closely with the Nursery Team to ensure a smooth transition for the children moving from Nursery to Reception, and Reception to Year 1.
  • Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages children's curiosity, creativity, and social development.
  • Work closely with Teachers and Support staff within the EYFS team and contribute to the overall school community.
  • Regularly assess and observe children's progress and tailor teaching approaches to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate with parents and support children's learning both at home and in the school setting.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Relevant qualification in Primary Education or Early Years with QTS
  • Teaching experience within an EYFS or Primary school.
  • Proven experience planning and delivering lessons.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and its principles.
  • Experience working with staff across all year groups as well as experience managing support staff.
  • Dedication to continuous professional development and a commitment to staying informed about best practices in early childhood education.
