Reception Teacher

Horizon Teachers are seeking a dedicated and experienced Reception Class Teacher (Maternity Cover) to join a progressive, independent Primary school based in the heart of Camden from September 2024 - July 2025.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for children in the EYFS, focusing on key areas of learning and development.
• Working closely with the Reception Teacher to ensure a smooth transition for the children moving from Nursery to Reception.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment that encourages children's curiosity, creativity, and social development.
• Conduct regular assessments and observations to track children's progress and tailor teaching approaches to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with parents to foster positive relationships and support children's learning both at home and in the school setting.
• Work closely with other members of the EYFS team and contribute to the overall school community.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience teaching in an Early Years setting.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and its principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Dedication to continuous professional development and a commitment to staying informed about best practices in early childhood education.
