Reception Class Teacher
Working as a Reception Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, delivering and assessing the EYFS curriculum, ensuring a stimulating and supportive environment. The role involves collaborating with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to create a holistic and enriching educational experience for students.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Planning and delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic development of each child.
- Establishing positive relationships with parents, providing regular communication and opportunities for parental involvement in their child's learning.
- Assessing and monitoring individual student progress, providing feedback and adapting teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Organising and participating in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and transition activities to facilitate a smooth integration into Reception.
- Collaborating with teaching assistants and support staff to create an effective and supportive learning environment.
- Implementing effective behaviour management strategies, ensuring a positive and respectful classroom culture.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience in teaching Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or Reception classes is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and its implementation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with young children and parents.
- Passion for early childhood education, fostering a love for learning in young children.
- Commitment to professional development.

- Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
