Real Estate Associate

We are recruiting an Associate with ideally 2 years’ PQE + to join our real estate group.

Offering a partner-led service enables the fee earners to learn and develop through working closely with a senior member of the team. The firm size means that you will often be very close to the front line or in a client facing role, gaining a greater insight into the issues facing our clients.

The Role

The individual will work for a significant client on a portfolio fund and will be required to carry out a broad range of good quality work. Key duties will include:

• granting of leases and other property related documentation including licences to alter, sublet and assign;
• managing a large number of own files, under supervision;
• own correspondence and telephone work;
• client contact from day one;
• assisting on larger property deals with due diligence e.g. requisitioning searches, data room work and replies to enquires; and
• high level of responsibility from the start with opportunities to gain more responsibility if appropriate.
• We want to recruit a lawyer that fulfils the following criteria:
• preferably qualified with at least two years of experience in a commercial real estate fee earning role;
• a team player who is looking for a 'hands-on’ role;
• confidence in managing a large caseload but with supervision from senior team members; and
• proactive and diligent.
