Investment Analyst - pan European Industrials

£60-70k (depending on experience) + discretionary bonus

A leading industrial developer and asset manager is looking to hire an Analyst to join their fast-growing team.

The business currently has c.5 million sq ft of industrial space at various stages of the development process across 35+ sites. The firm also manages a significant investment portfolio across the UK and Europe and has an ambitious target to secure several opportunities in 2024 across key European markets including Spain, Portugal, and Ireland.

The Analyst will join the London Office to help monitor performance of European schemes and the market to identify opportunities for the business.

Responsibilities:

• On-going ad hoc tasks to assist the expansion of the European portfolio, reporting to the Head of European, working closely with the Finance group and wider team on the day-to-day management of the portfolio.

• Run development and investment appraisals using the company’s Excel template models incorporating a variety of funding sources (balance sheet equity, JVs, equity investors, debt)

• Model development appraisals provided in Argus format and amend existing models as assumptions change.

• Manage the internal excel database comprising all live developments, new site introductions, sites bid on and occupier interest on the developments.

• Assist in sourcing, research and due diligence for site acquisitions and provide support on the marketing and disposals of units.

Skills

• Experience in the property / real estate industry

• Advanced numerical, statistical and analytical skills

• Able to use initiative and work independently

• A desire to learn, a strong work ethic and be driven & entrepreneurial

• Understanding or experience with European property cashflows / financial modelling

• Understanding of property investment and development principles and key drivers

• A second language would preferable (Dutch, French, Spanish or German)
