R&D Engineer
Our client, a high-growth Scottish technology company who believe that technology is here to help people to live happier, safer and healthier lives are looking for and R&D Engineer to join their team, based in Stirling with flexible working possible.
This is an R&D position with a broad remit and requires the individual to be capable of understanding all aspects of sensor systems including related electronics/mechanics.
As an R&D Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Devise and recommend new sensor system solutions for applications
- Perform detailed research into design and application of new sensors/sensor systems
- Specify electronic, mechanical and software requirements for sensor systems
- Experimental testing of prototype systems and reporting results
- Writing software to drive, investigate and integrate sensor systems
We are looking for an R&D Engineerwho has the following skills/experience:
- Background in sensor physics with a wide knowledge of potential physical limitations
- Understand constraints on complex mathematical algorithms
- Scientific and systems analysis of sensors, sensor systems and their capabilities
- Knowledge of microfluidics
- Electronics Hardware fault finding and investigations
- Software skills - Matlab/Python, good to have C but not essential
