We are currently seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in Structural Steel to join our dynamic client in Norfolk. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing costs and ensuring the financial success of our projects within the structural steel industry.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting cost analysis and preparing detailed estimates for projects involving structural steel.
- Managing project budgets and ensuring cost control measures are implemented effectively.
- Evaluating and negotiating contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
- Monitoring project progress and providing regular financial reports to stakeholders.
- Identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and recommending value engineering solutions.
- Collaborating with project managers and engineers to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
- Resolving any commercial disputes or claims that may arise during the project lifecycle.
- Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the structural steel industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in industry-standard quantity surveying software and MS Office applications.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field (preferred).
