Do you live within a commutable distance of Exeter?
Joining a forwarding thinking employer who have been recognised with a number of awards! Seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable quantity surveyor or senior quantity surveyor to join their team. Reporting to the Commercial Director whilst overseeing 2 projects, typically sites range from 60 – 100 + units.
You will take full commercial responsibility for the sites including - subcontractor management, financial reporting, cost control, variations and payment recommendations, valuations, identifying risk, CVR reporting and final account etc.
The company in question are a cash positive business, with an excellent pipeline of secured work due to start and several live sites. They maintain an excellent reputation in the market for managing their supplychain fairly and ethically.
Applicants should possess the following experience and attributes:
- A housing development background is essential with either a contractor or developer.
- Experience of running your own projects
- Strong commercial awareness
- Good knowledge of building regs
- Experience of undertaking CVRs
- Ideally experienced in different forms of contract
- Accustomed to running your own scheme/s
- Ideally qualified to degree or HNC level in Construction or Quantity Surveying or working towards
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Fully IT literate
- Strong reporting skills
- A team player
- Organised
