About the Company

My Client, a leading national business in their niche in the Construction Industry, is looking for a highly commercial Quantity Surveyor, based full time (with flexibility) at their office in the North West, in between Liverpool and Manchester.

This newly created position offers the potential to grow within the company, as it continues its impressive growth trajectory.

About the Role

In this crucial role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the profitability of their construction projects.

You'll be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:

• Cost Management: You'll estimate, forecast and monitor project costs throughout the entire construction lifecycle.
• Contract Administration: You'll ensure we comply with contracts and handle variations and claims.
• Commercial Reporting: You'll generate reports to keep stakeholders informed of project progress and finances.
• Collaboration: You'll work closely with various teams, including engineering, construction, and sales, to ensure project success.

You'll be a great fit for this role if you have:

• A degree in Commercial Management, Project Management, or Quantity Surveying
• 3-5 years' experience as a QS in construction or civil engineering in a UK business
• Experience with temporary works and/or the hire business (a plus) in the UK
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in construction software and MS Office suite
