Caralex Recruitment Ltd are searching for a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-regarded housebuilder to join their Commercial department. 

You'd be working on a range of sites throughout the Thames Valley region and the surrounding areas, working closely with the Commercial Manager and Commercial Director. 

Position Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Planning and monitoring major estimates and control of budget cost/value fluctuations
  • Preparing cost/value reconciliations
  • Financial reporting of projects
  • Monitoring and managing subcontract accounts
  • Contract administration, negotiation of variations and extra payment
  • Negotiation with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Providing support to the commercial departments in the preparations and implementation of projects
  • Monitoring variations in order to establish progress claims
Desired Candidate Qualifications & Skills:
  • Good numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to analyse, interpret complex data
  • Strong understanding of the construction industry and commercial landscape
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Well experienced using MS Office Suite and Oracle.
  • History of working with project teams to achieve their goals
