Quantity Surveyor - Residential Care Homes

Hemel Hempstead

£45,000 - £65,000 + Car Allowance (DOE)

Flexible Working

7:30am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday

The successful candidate will need to be DBS Checked

Information on the role

  • Administer construction contracts, including tendering, reviews, negotiations etc.
  • Assist with workforce oversight / subcontractor deployment & time keeping
  • Meet with subcontractors throughout the works & approving stage payments, including accurate take offs & measurements
  • Evaluate & process change orders
  • Generate regular cost reports & forecasts to provide Construction Manager & Directors with up-to-date financial information
  • Maintain accurate records of all cost related documents, contracts, invoices, payments & correspondence
  • Communicate effectively with the wider team
  • Support & seek best values in other areas of the business, advising & assisting where needed

What we’d like from you

  • Previous Residential/Care Home knowledge & experience
  • Proven Quantity Surveying Experience
  • HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related subject
  • Self-motivated, friendly, sociable, and driven
  • Full driving license
  • Commercially aware
  • Self-motivated personality
  • Attention to detail with a right first-time attitude
  • Organisation and time management skills
