Job Title: Quantity Surveyor - Dry Lining

Introduction:

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team, specializing in dry lining projects. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our dry lining projects, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to budgetary constraints. If you have a proven track record in quantity surveying within the dry lining sector and possess strong analytical skills, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed quantity surveys for dry lining projects, accurately assessing material requirements and costs.
  • Prepare and analyse tender documents, including bills of quantities and specifications.
  • Evaluate subcontractor quotations and negotiate contracts to ensure competitive pricing and favourable terms.
  • Monitor project costs and expenditures, tracking against budgetary allocations and identifying any deviations.
  • Provide ongoing financial management and reporting throughout the project lifecycle, including cost forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Liaise with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to resolve any commercial issues that may arise.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and contractual requirements.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to source materials and services at optimal prices without compromising quality.
  • Assist in the preparation of final accounts and claims, resolving any disputes in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on dry lining projects.
  • Strong understanding of dry lining construction methods, materials, and processes.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Relevant qualifications in quantity surveying or a related field are preferred.
