Quantity Surveyor - Civils & Highways

Location: Pinner, Greater London

Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 per annum

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting detailed cost analysis and preparing estimates for highway resurfacing projects.
  • Collaborating with project managers to develop budgetary requirements and cost plans.
  • Managing tender processes and liaising with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Monitoring project costs, variations, and valuations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Providing timely and accurate financial reports to senior management.
  • Evaluating and negotiating contractual agreements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Proven experience in quantity surveying for highway resurfacing projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficient in relevant software tools (e.g., Excel, QS software).
