Actio Technical Recruitments dedicated Electronics recruitment team are assisting one of our Ferndown based clients with their search for an Electronics Quality Technician to join their team.

Purpose of the role

Working within the test and quality department to ensure that products meet industry, client and company quality standards. Working with a wide range of electronic and electro mechanical products the Quality Technician will be involved in the verification test and inspection of assemblies and will promote a zero defect culture.

Our client are a long established and successful contract manufacturing business who provide solutions and components for a number of industries and high end clients. Based out of their large and modern premises in Ferndown they have built a reputation for quality across the industry and hold numerous ISO and AS accreditations.

The Job

  • Carry out verification through inspection or test.
  • Diagnosis test fails and repair
  • Provide absence cover for Quality Engineer
  • Ensuring quality levels meet client, company and industry standards
  • Build and maintain test and inspection schedules
  • Evaluate and repair returns
  • Working with quality engineers on calibration tasks
  • Continuous improvement including investigating and rectifying issues in regard to quality, process, products and conformance
  • Carry out preventative maintenance

About You

We are looking for candidates who have proven experience within Quality in the manufacturing sector and have a relevant qualification in electronic engineering or similar (IPC certification would be an advantage but not essential).

Pay and Benefits

£12 to £12.50 per hour depending on experience
