Our client has a new exciting role for an experienced Quality Systems Manager, to work for one of the best manufacturing companies in the Portsmouth area, who pay competitive salaries, excellent benefits and a great working environment.

Mission:

To maintain, update and further develop the Quality & Environmental Management Systems through Intranet system for the efficient operation of the business. To provide administrative support and monthly data analysis to the Head of Quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Quality Systems Engineer (or Manager) having strong technical skills with a background in manufacturing (electronic & / or mechanical engineering)
  • Must be familiar with and have working knowledge of the following standards: ISO 9001 (QMS), ISO 14001 (Environmental), ISO 80079/34 (Explosive standard)
  • Must have robust internal / external auditing skills (qualified / certified in audit management)
  • Person will act as the Quality / Environmental business process owner for the company and have the ability to run meetings at the leadership level
  • Person must be a driving force across the business, visible and influential with proactive thinking (demonstrates continuous improvements behaviours)

Development Responsibilities:

  • Develop processes and working practices to ensure the company’s QMS system is maintained and improved over time
  • Develop data collection processes to produce metrics. PBI reports
