Quality Manager

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to oversee our fantastic clients Quality Team and related functions. The primary objective of this role is to ensure adherence to quality processes, maintain product quality, manage supplier quality, oversee pre-delivery preparation, and uphold the overarching Quality Management Systems (QMS) to sustain high standards and drive continual improvement.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Take responsibility for quality processes, product quality, supplier quality, and the overall Quality Management Systems.
  • Manage and lead several Operational Quality teams.
  • Provide training, development, and mentoring to team members.
  • Maintain and enhance processes and procedures, identifying gaps and generating new processes to improve overall quality.
  • Manage control of quality data and critical business documentation.
  • Conduct internal audits of systems and procedures according to ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Drive innovation in efficiency and product quality improvements.
  • Address customer feedback and promptly resolve potential issues.
  • Analyse multiple streams of quality data and proactively implement improvement plans.
  • Establish and maintain quality standards for components and products in the Manufacturing and Assembly settings.
  • Report KPI data and action plans as agreed with the Head of Quality.
  • Monitor and drive improvements in supplier quality.
  • Develop and foster a company culture emphasising quality, continual improvement, development, and high performance.
  • Achieve results by effectively communicating expectations, utilising review and performance management systems, and providing clear feedback.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree qualification in engineering, quality, or a related discipline is ideal.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience.
  • Experience with quality systems, including ISO 9000, BS EN 1090 Class 3, ISO3834-2 Welding and qualification as a Lead Auditor.
  • Proven track record of implementing quality systems and driving performance improvements.
  • Strong people management skills.
