Quality Inspector
Elevation Engineering and Manufacturing have a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Inspector to join a leading engineering business in Leeds.
Reporting to the site's senior engineering team, the Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring all components released through to assembly are to scale, ensuring build of all customer products is as smooth and efficient as possible.
The Quality Inspectors duties include:
• Calibrating measuring equipment and measuring testing variables
• Writing detailed reports including first article inspection reports and CofCs
• Using equipment like callipers, vernier, micrometres, air gauges to make accurate measurements
• Be responsible for carrying out first-offs, in process inspections, final inspections and goods-in inspections.
The ideal candidate will have;
- Previous experience working in a similar role, ideally within a highly regulated environment
- Used to inspecting to tight tolerances.
- The ability to read, interpret and work directly from engineering drawings as well as the ability to effectively use hand measuring instruments (micrometres, verniers, callipers etc.)
In return, the Quality Inspector will receive an annual salary of £31,000 plus overtime.
