Quality Engineer

Here at Impact we are recruiting for a Quality Inspector for one of our manufacturing clients based in Northampton that specialise in providing components to primarily the Aerospace, F1, Marine, Automotive and Gas & Oil industries. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout our manufacturing processes.

Salary: £29,000 - £32,000 (DoE)

Location: Northampton

Hours: Days

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of components to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Perform dimensional and visual inspections using precision measuring instruments and gauges.
• Collaborate with production teams to address any quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
• Participate in the development and improvement of quality control procedures.
• Provide feedback and support to manufacturing teams to enhance product quality.
• Identify and report any non-conformities, and work towards continuous improvement initiatives.
• Operate and run both Romer Arm 3D Scanners & programmable CMM machines.

Requirements:

• Previous experience within a relevant engineering industry.
• Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments and gauges.
• Strong understanding of quality control processes and procedures.
• Knowledge of relevant quality standards and regulations.
• A good understanding of engineering drawings and tolerancing.
• Experience working with 3D scanners and CMM machines.
• Knowledge and experience of non-destructive-testing.
