Quality Configuration Control Engineer

Science Solutions are looking to recruit a Quality Configuration Control Engineer for a global composite materials manufacturer based on their Heanor facility.

To be considered for this position as a Quality Configuration Control Engineer you must possess significant industrial experience in a similar position that encompasses quality configuration in the Aerospace industry. Any applicant must have experience in working with AS9100 Rev D and ISO9001 QMS.

As a Quality Configuration Control Engineer, you will become part of a new global team to assist in reviewing changes, controlling documents, managing quality-based projects and develop specification review processes by liaising with customers.

Role responsibilities

• The successful candidate will manage specification reviews processes and the associated change management across multiple sites.
• Actively review and develop a robust specification review management process.
• Develop and standardise a global specification review.
• Help to improve customer satisfaction levels.
• Reduce costs of poor quality and minimise quality risks.
• Collaborate with engineering, account management, quality and production sites across multiple sites internally.
• Lead quality risk assessments and audits.
• Travel up to 30% within the first couple of years.

Role requirements

• Bachelors educated as a minimum in an engineering discipline or scientific subject.  
• Working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 essential, any familiarity of NADCAP or IATF16949 highly desirable.
• Understanding and knowledge of six sigma tools including 5S, process control MSA, continuous improvement or Gauge.
• Previous experience in a similar role that involves liaising with customers on a regular basis.
