Salary: Circa £50,000 to £65,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working: We trust our people to agree, within their teams, where and when they can be most effective. Our Dynamic Working policy allows individuals flexibility around the hours they work and where they work. Typically for this role you will work 2-3 days per week on-site.

The opportunity:

• Managing the small UK national SW Quality Assurance team to ensure the required level of Quality support to the Quality Assurance programmes
• Managing the national workload to ensure that this required level of support is adequately funded
• Working with the Head of Product Assurance SW Engineering, to ensure that the team has the skills and capabilities needed to provide Quality Assurance to the Quality Assurance Engineering Directorate
• Consolidate functional and project risks and issues from the national Quality Assurance Engineering team and provide feedback
• Being actively involved in ISO9000 and AS9100 assessments and in internal quality audit activities

What we're looking for from you:


• You are an experienced Quality Assurance / Engineering professional with a good understanding of systems and software development practices
• You have experience of managing a skilled and integrated team
• Candidates do not need to have a Defence background. We welcome applicants from the Automotive, Aviation, Manufacturing sectors
• You have a collaborative but objective approach
• You communicate clearly, both orally and in writing
• You remain calm under pressure and cope well with unexpected changes
