Quality is at the heart of everything we do and our Engineers – QA work collaboratively in cross-functional agile Product Teams, alongside Business Solutions Specialists, Developers and Architects, to ensure the quality of the applications and systems that support our business. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in quality assurance and testing (manual and automated), in the development and implementation of retail and associated software. Because we’re an omnichannel retailer this could include applications which support online ecommerce, payment, physical store, business to business operations, inventory, and supply chain management. The key responsibility of an Engineer - QA will be defining testing scope, designing, implementing, and executing test plans and test cases, as well as identifying and reporting defects to ensure the highest level of quality for our retail applications. As our QA Engineer you will be responsible for:
  • Develop and execute automated and manual tests for comprehensive functionality validation.
  • Support testing throughout the development life cycle.
  • Provide regular updates on testing progress and challenges to the team.
  • Address discrepancies between expected and actual results promptly.
  • Contribute to test data preparation and maintenance, while advocating for best practices and staying updated on industry innovations.
THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APARTPut simply, for this role the key things we’re looking for are:
  • Experience of test automation, including test script generation in C# (or similar).
  • Experience of deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, or Jenkins.
  • Experience of quality assurance in an agile delivery framework, ideally Scrum.
  • Experience of testing applications/platform related to retail supply chain operations like stock procurement, warehouse and inventory management, logistics, stock replenishment and customer order fulfilment.
