We are currently looking for a Quality Assessor to join our committed and compassionate team, on a fixed term contract until 13 June 2025.
The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail with the ability to proactively ensure that business needs are met. They will have a positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively.
Focused primarily on our asylum services, the scope of the role is to carry out audits and assessments both internally and with external suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual and legal requirements, as well as quality assurance checks and calibration sessions. You will report on your findings and find opportunities for improvement to drive operational quality procedures and standards. There will be the opportunity to work with teams to develop new scorecards and improvements to existing processes.

As the Quality Assessor your duties would include:

  • To ensure Migrant Help is adhering to all legal and contractual requirements, finding opportunities for improvement and actioning solutions to develop our quality standards and improve future audit results
  • To collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure audits and assessments are planned and executed correctly
  • To provide support and deliver feedback to colleagues in order to drive understanding and compliance to quality standards. To build positive relationships and a strong network to create an open and honest environment for the assessments and audits to take place
  • To take responsibility for ensuring timely completion of quality assessments and audits, working with colleagues and partners to develop a strong and efficient audit plan
  • Provide information and reports to the Management Team outlining non-conformities, risks and opportunities for improvement, both for Migrant Help and external suppliers
  • Develop performance monitoring processes across various teams, helping to develop Quality Frameworks and quality scorecards
  • Monitor compliance and scorecard completion. Lead on Calibration Sessions and guide colleagues through the various quality assurance processes
  • To keep up to date with the latest changes in regulations and legislations and understand how they impact Migrant Help's policies and procedures
  • To keep up to date with new processes or trends within the world of Quality Assurance, being open to new ways of working and having an understanding of how these changes can be applied to Migrant Help's ways of working
  • To be a part of a positive, motivational and supportive quality environment within Migrant Help

The experience and skills you need:

  • Significant knowledge of internal and/or external audit procedures
  • Capability to produce reports and presentations to communicate findings
  • Proven exposure in a Quality Assurance environment, ideally within the voluntary or customer service environment
  • Strong auditing skills, including audit planning, communication, auditing various areas within the organisation and creating audit reports

What else to expect:

  • The Quality team operates Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm. There may be occasions where flexibility to work outside of the hours is necessary
  • The role is homebased, however they may be occasions where you will be required to travel depending on business needs
