Job Title: Qualified Social Worker - Support and Strengthening Families Team

Location: South Tyneside

Pay Rate: £35-£45 per hour

Are you a dedicated and qualified Social Worker with a passion for making a positive impact on families in need? We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join our Support and Strengthening Families Team, where you will play a crucial role in providing essential support to families facing various challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assessment and Intervention: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and risks within families. Develop and implement effective intervention plans to support positive outcomes.

  2. Case Management: Manage a caseload of families, ensuring timely and high-quality interventions. Regularly review cases and update plans based on evolving needs and circumstances.

  3. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, including health professionals, educators, and community resources, to provide holistic support to families.

  4. Advocacy: Advocate for families within the legal and social services systems, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are protected.

  5. Crisis Intervention: Respond to crisis situations promptly and effectively, providing emotional support and practical solutions to families in distress.

  6. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and case progress in accordance with professional standards and legal requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Degree in Social Work: A recognised qualification in social work and registration with the relevant professional body.

  2. DBS on the update service
  3. Experience: Proven experience in a social work role, preferably within a family support context.

  4. Knowledge: A solid understanding of child protection, safeguarding, and relevant legislation. Familiarity with the local community and available resources is an advantage.

  5. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse families and professionals.

  6. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgements in complex situations.

Pay Rate: £35-£45 per hour
