Qualified Social Worker - Fostering Team

Are you a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker seeking a rewarding opportunity in the field of fostering? Look no further! Southend-on-Sea Council is currently recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join our Fostering Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and support prospective foster carers throughout the application and assessment process
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of foster carers' suitability, ensuring adherence to relevant legislation and standards
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to foster carers, ensuring they are well-equipped to meet the needs of the children in their care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, external agencies, and professionals involved in the fostering process
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, prepare reports, and participate in case conferences and reviews

Requirements:

  • Social Work degree and valid HCPC/SWE registration
  • Proven experience in working within a Fostering Team or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and policies pertaining to fostering
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills
