Job Advert: Corporate Parenting Service

Location: Lambeth, London

Salary: PO3 £44,862 rising in annual increments to £48,063 per annum incl. LW

Employment Type: Permanent / Full Time / Hybrid working

Are you passionate about supporting children in care to reach their full potential? Do you have experience in corporate parenting and a commitment to providing high-quality services to children and young people? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Corporate Parenting Service at Lambeth Council.

As part of our Corporate Parenting Service, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that children in care receive the support, guidance, and opportunities they need to thrive. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, you will champion the rights and well-being of children in care, helping to shape positive outcomes for their futures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive support and guidance to children in care, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
  • Work collaboratively with social work teams, schools, health professionals, and other agencies to coordinate holistic care plans for children in care.
  • Advocate for the rights and interests of children in care, promoting their participation in decision-making processes.
  • Monitor and review the progress of children in care, identifying areas for additional support or intervention as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to corporate parenting.

Requirements:

  • Relevant social work qualification (Social Work England).
  • Experience in corporate parenting or working with children in care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and professionals.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance, and best practices in children's services.
  • Commitment to promoting the rights and well-being of children and young people.
