Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in social work, CQSW, CSS or equivalent, and registration with Social Work England
- Strong emotional intelligence and analytical skills to handle challenging social and family situations
- Proficiency in using information technology and related systems
- Car driver
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide short-term interventions for children in need and their families
- Handle child protection enquiries and work collaboratively with the police and partner agencies
- Manage a caseload, achieving positive change and improved outcomes for children
- Utilize social work knowledge and emotional intelligence to make confident decisions
- Maintain accurate records using social work case recording systems
- Collaborate with partner agencies and professionals to provide effective social work interventions
- Promote the development and well-being of children, young people, and their families
- Facilitate permanency planning for children in care and ensure their safety and welfare
