Qualified Social Worker - Adults Learning Disabilities

We are looking to recruit a Qualified Social Worker for the Adults Learning Disabilities Service in Devon County Councils within the Social Care industry. The Qualified Social Worker vacancy in Devon will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Case Load Management
  • Completing reviews and assessment
  • Working alongside other agencies
  • Working to ensure the protection of vulnerable adults
  • Promoting service users choices, control and independence
  • Supporting service users to live safely and independently in their own homes
  • Assessing and reviewing existing service users placed in care homes
  • Reviewing residential, nursing home or day centre placements
  • Working effectively with other professionals
  • The work will encompass completing Community Deprivation of Liberty Assessments, Care Act Assessments, reviews, commissioning care, safeguarding work, CHC work, undertaking Mental Capacity Act assessments and Best Interest decisions. This work is required to support teams with an increase in workload, to reduce wait times and respond in a timely way to mitigate risks.

Experience preferred:

  • Post qualifying experience of working as a Qualified Social Worker - Adults Learning Disabilities Team within the UK Social Care industry.

Minimum Requirements:

  • SWE Registration
  • 1-2 years post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
