Veritas Education is excited to announce an opportunity for dedicated individuals to join a reputable Blackburn with Darwen Primary School as Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants. We are seeking passionate individuals who are committed to making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.

Position: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant Level 2 (x2 positions available)
Location: Blackburn with Darwen Primary School
Start Date: As soon as possible
Working Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and assistance to students with special educational needs, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and can fully participate in classroom activities.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies tailored to each student's needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported.
  • Encourage and motivate students to overcome challenges, build confidence, and achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

Requirements:

  • Essential experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and support students with diverse learning needs.
  • Hardworking and enthusiastic with a genuine passion for supporting children's education and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (desirable but not essential).

This position is initially temporary but may lead to permanent opportunities for the right candidates.
