Qualified SEN Nursery Practitioner - Immediate Start

Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking an SEN Nursery Practitioner to fulfil a permanent, full time role within a local nursery within Dorset. This role is an immediate start position.
The role is based within a small local nursery, located within the town of Gillingham. As a small nursery, they have dedicated and passionate staff who are able to cater to all needs of the children, and give support when needed whilst encouraging independence. They provide excellent early experiences for the children to help them achieve their own goals and ambitions, and equipping them with the essential skills to progress in their learning journeys. They consider the the nursery as a 'family unit' where all staff work together to provide the very best for both each other and the children.
As the SEN Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for ensuring that all potential admissions to the nursery are assessed, and any needs are addressed and funded prior to enrolment. You will ensure that the nursery policy is adhered to and oversee the development of the nursery's SEN strategy and policy. You will carry out assessments of children with SEN to identify needs and monitor progress (including observations within the rooms) and implement a schedule to screen all children at the setting with the support of the key persons using a speech and language tool kit.
For this role, you will be/will need:
- Experience working with SEN within a nursery setting or equivalent
- Ideally have qualifications relevant to the role
- Available as soon as possible, on a full time basis
- Good knowledge of SEN practice and policy
- A passion for working with children with additional needs
The salary for this role is currently set at £12.62 per hour, and is a full time permanent position.
