Qualified Nursery Practitioner or Room Leader

Our Client is looking to employ a Level 2 & 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner or Room Leader for their quality Nursery based near Eastleigh. The successful candidate must have a passion for childcare and be able to deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years, in line with Early Years Foundation Stage.

This setting are in the unique position where they can offer part-time or full-time positions and even lunch cover positions also!

The successful candidate must have a fantastic knowledge of the EYFS and have experience in being responsible for a small group of key children. It is important to plan and implement activities to each individual child’s developmental stage. You must be able to cultivate fantastic relationships with not only the children but also the parents/carers; not to mention your team around you!

Person Specification

  • NVQ level 2 or 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development or equivalent
  • GCSE in Maths and English at Grade C or above
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Minimum of 2 years experience of working within a childcare setting caring for babies and children aged 6 months – 4 years
  • Ability to develop good working relationships with staff and parents
  • Awareness of child protection and data protection issues relevant to the post
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the nursery
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
